Information about CyberDefender’s Restructuring and Sale Process
On February 23, CyberDefender® announced that it has entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement (APA) with GR Match, LLC, an affiliate of Guthy-Renker LLC to sell substantially all of its assets, subject to an auction process.  Guthy-Renker LLC is one of the largest direct marketing companies, with distribution throughout the world.

Please be assured that all software, data storage and LiveTech remote tech services, will continue without interruption during the sale process.
To facilitate the sale transaction, the Company filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
The Company intends to continue normal operations during the reorganization process, including:

  • Continuation of all software, services and utilities for customers
  • Continuation of usual wages and benefits for employees
  • Payments of post-petition obligations to suppliers, vendors, etc.

The Company has also received a commitment for up to $4.6 million in debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing to facilitate the reorganization and sale.

This website is designed to provide you with additional information about our reorganization process.  We will update this site with new information as developments occur.
